Whitley County Announces Business Seminar Series
Whitley County organizations will host a Business Seminar Series for local businesses. Targeted for chamber, main street and local businesses and nonprofits, the sessions are designed to meet the needs of owning or managing a successful business. Register Here
Hosted by Columbia City Connect, Churubusco Chamber of Commerce, Whitley County Chamber of Commerce, and Whitley County Economic Development Corporation the sessions reflect survey responses and needs for marketing, website use, policy and product display.
The first session is scheduled for June 9, 2022, at 9 a.m. at The Center for Whitley County Youth (201 W Market St, Columbia City, IN 46725). Morgan Ellis, Public Relations and Marketing Manager Downtown Wabash, will present on Marketing Principles.
Columbia City-raised and 2015 CCHS grad Morgan Ellis joins us from Wabash, Indiana with nearly five years of marketing and public relations experience.
Morgan graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2019 with a Bachelors in Communication and emphasis in Public Relations and Journalism. Morgan worked for a boutique PR firm in Downtown Indianapolis where she grew her marketing experience in small business marketing and PR. From there, Morgan moved to Wabash, Indiana as the PR & Marketing Coordinator for Honeywell Arts & Entertainment. In April 2021, Morgan moved up the street in Downtown Wabash to Downtown Wabash, Inc., Wabash's 41-years-old, Nationally Accredited Main Street organization.
At Downtown Wabash, Inc., Morgan led and launched a full organizational rebrand after 40 years and continues focusing her energy on marketing 'the Downtown Wabash experience' with more than 60 events per year, small business campaigns, media relations and nonprofit fundraising efforts. Morgan also owns and manages MNE Public Relations, a one-woman PR & Marketing firm, in her free time.
Follow-up sessions are July, September, October and December.
