C&A TOOL ENGINEERING MINBEAMITSUMI INC. EXPANDING OPERATIONS IN CHURUBUSCO AND ADDING NEW JOBS
COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (June 20, 2018) – The Whitley County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and C&A Tool Engineering MinbeaMitsumi Inc. (C&A Tool) recently announced the company is expanding its operations in Churubusco and adding 20 new jobs.
C&A Tool is a national and international contract manufacturer serving the transportation market, aeronautical and defense, medical, industrial, food processing, machine tools market and more. C&A Tool has more than 500 employees and four major manufacturing locations in the northeast Indiana area.
“As one of the largest employers in Whitley County, we are pleased to see the continued growth of C&A Tool and the company’s continued confidence in our highly skilled workforce,” said Jon Myers, President of the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation.The company will expand its capabilities by adding equipment for manufacturing, research and development and information technology.
“Our overall business continues to grow with specific opportunities in aerospace and medical, with additive manufacturing technologies and advanced machining capability,” said C&A Tool President Rob Marr.
Churubusco Town Council approved a ten-year tax abatement for the project at the request of C&A Tool and the Whitley County EDC.
“We are happy to work with our partners at C&A Tool once again to help their growth,” said Churubusco Town Council President Frank Kessler. “They have been instrumental in our town’s economic growth over the years and we are proud to do our part in this project.”
