Angel Joins EDC Team as Project Coordinator
Columbia City, Ind. (Aug. 17, 2022) – The Whitley County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) announced that Ardonna Angel recently joined the EDC Team and will serve as the organization’s new Project Coordinator.
Prior to joining the Whitley EDC, Angel served as a dispatcher for the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office and has more than 25 years of experience in public safety. Angel moved to the area four years ago and was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. While originally from Kentucky, she has adapted to the ways of Whitley County. “This is my home,” Angel said.
“As Whitley EDC works to expand its focus on talent attraction and development, I am happy we could find someone who was interested in helping us grow and expand economic opportunities for the families in Whitley County. We are particularly lucky to have someone who understands both the economics and the legal aspect of Whitley County,” said Dale Buuck, Whitley EDC president.
Angel attended Eastern Kentucky University to study criminal justice and later attended Bluegrass Community Tech in Lexington to further her education.
Angel moved to Whitley County in 2018 to be closer to her family, which as she states, is “very important to her.”
“I am so excited to join the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation team. I have called Whitley County home for over four years, and I am looking forward to being an active member of our community,” Angel said.
Outside of Whitley EDC, Angel enjoys family time, woodworking, gardening, fishing and snow skiing.
